1 Secret to having a Beautiful Year

Now that we have talked about how to organize our finances, we should also talk about organizing ourselves physically and professionally. The world would have us believe that the New Year’s Resolution is the key to all. Unfortunately most resolutions are jettisoned by the 15th of January. Ugh!

The Secret

e SecretI know of only one way to fix this challenge. I find most of us are most happy or satisfied when we are scheduled out. You will find that we all have the same amount of one particular resource and that is time. We all have exactly 24 hours, even though we all wish we had a 36 hour day. I generally find my power time is early in the morning or later in the evening after the family goes to bed. Either of these time are unfettered by all the phone calls and emails that rain on us in the day light hours. 99% of us believe that work is created between 8am & 5pm. I find to get ahead we need to make more efficient use of our time. When you are willing to do what others will not do, you have the ability to create an uncommon lifestyle.

Secret to not Waiting In line

Imagine not having to go to Costco, Sam’s Club, or the grocery store when everybody else has to go. As such I have always advocated “Taking the Road Less Traveled” and that has made all the difference. Yes Really!

Secrets to Model Day

My schedule entails rising at 5:00am to do my favorite activities: walking and listening to one of my favorite gurus “Marketing Secrets” by Russell Brunson or “The Awesome Life” by Jeff Lerner. If you want to succeed you need to listen to the thought leaders in their individual niches. Once I finish my exercises, I have time to write out my blog.

At around 7:00am I hop in the shower, get dressed and get breakfast ready for the family. As I drive to work I can piece out my day. Applications like Trello can help to schedule out your day so that all your actions are in line with my BEHAG (Big Harry Audacious Goals) or Moonshots as Google likes to label them. My Father always indicated that you should shoot for the moon and maybe you hit the barn door, rather than shooting for the barn door and then hitting the ground.

One I have accomplished my daily goals, I can go home to spend quality with my family. Essentially, they receive my full attention. After they go to bed, I can plan out tomorrow and move one step closer to my Awesome Life. In the end as Dave Ramsey pontificates “Live like no else so that you can Live like no one else.”

Stay tuned for more.
