What is Shaklee

Shaklee is a network marketing company or MLM that works in the health and wellness niche where it like Amway & Melaleuca claims it puts modern science behind their products.

JFor instance, the health and wellness niche is one of the most populous categories in the MLM space.

Shaklee Review

Shaklee opened its doors back in 1956. Forrest Shaklee is the founder.

In 1915, Shaklee created one of the first multi-vitamin supplements companies in the United States.

That is very interesting because it predates the founding of the Shaklee company.

Forrest Shaklee (a nutritionist) continued to do research on the positive effects of supplementation to the human body.

Eventually, he started the Shaklee Corporation in 1956 with his two sons.

Shaklee’s supplement products rocketed off and became uber popular. The company started manufacturing and selling organic cleaning products in 1960.

In 1970’s rolled along, Shaklee became a publicly traded securing a listing New York Stock Exchange.

In the 1980’s, Shaklee headquarters located to San Francisco

After a deal went sour with Jacobs Group,, Shaklee became a privately health company again.

In 2004, Shaklee sold to Roger Barnett.

Today, the company produces between $200 million to $800 million per year in revenue.

In it’s history, Shaklee had it’s share of run ins with the FTC. In fact American big companies have. Shaklee cleared these up.

Today, Shaklee is a profitable direct sales company with over 1 million distributors worldwide.

Currently, Roger Bernett serves as the CEO.

Shaklee Products

Shaklee specializes in the nutritional supplement market. It offers different vitamins, protein shakes, and meal replacements. These products help with a healthy lifestyle.

They do have many products in the beauty line. These include lotions, natural makeup and anti-aging creams.

Additionally, they have several product lines in cleaning and water filtration.

Like most multilevels Shaklee rewards selling product plus building a team.

Overall the compensation plan is fair and isn’t much different compared to other MLM companies like Amway.

Shaklee Scam or Legit?

Well let’s exam the facts.

The majority of companies often don’t survive five years, but this company has.

The leadership is top caliber. The company continues to grow.

They have great products. Shaklee’s customers love them.

If you are interested in joining Shaklee, then I would first test out their products. Once confident in the products think about becoming a distributer.

You should stand behind the products. This can give you a fair shot at success.
